T. Friedman suggests that we try to split off syria with a libya type deal from the shiaa axis of evil. Would israel trade a dmz golan back to syria to seal this deal? I dont think the protection once given israel by taking golan is 67 really protects them much anymore as syrian missiles can easlily hit israeli targets now. TF also suggests that hizbollah blew it by attacking israel and iran blew it by allowing the world to see that iran had indeed transferred a strategic silk worm type missile to a terror org. Israelis didnt even have their anti missile gear turned on when that missile hit the ship because western intel missed the transfer of that class of weapon. If iran is transferring that type of missile what would prevent them from transferring a nuke that could hit tel aviv? Actually just the credible threat of that would change everything.
