I've heard that, and have mixed emotions. On the one hand, I think it's a terrible loss and stupidity for the country. But on the other hand, I'm happy to have the whole thing for myself. I don't like crowds.

I was hoping for a first class movie on the order of Last of the Mohicans, but I guess Hollywood sniffed out the yawn before they started.

Here is a short photoshow of some pictures I took at Traveller's Rest 200 years to the day that the Corps camped there. Traveller's Rest is the only archeologically confirmed campsite on the entire route.

There were a lot of people in costume and various demonstrations of period implements. I enjoyed it greatly. I'm sorry that most Americans are too lazy or ignorant to care much about the history that made them so fat, dumb, and happy.
