Concluding that Israel isn't aiming at Hizbullah targets because they didn't hit the Hizbullah HQ on day one of the bombing raid is about par for the course for Fisk's "logic".

The pretzels he goes through, having to acknowledge, well Hizbullah did start it and Hizbullah is in Lebanon and theLebanonese government is powerless but it's all Israel's fault anyhow because they're killing people!

If Israel wanted to just bomb Lebanese cities to the best of its ability, the way Hizbullah is bombing Israeli cities to the best of its abilities (say, wouldn't that be proportionate?) then Fisk wouldn't be counting up dead Lebanese one by one, but in the tens of thousands.

There's a good reason "fisk" has entered the language as a new verb. Fisk wouldn't know logic if it bit him.
