White men are a minority and yet still retain almost all of the power. Wait.. White men are a minority, yet somehow White politicians still wind up getting elected by Blacks and Spanish? Who are you trying to kid? I don't respect Condie because, using the same yardstick for all people regardless of beigeness or gender, I think she's grossly incompetent and suffers from an inability to get off her rear and do anything My goodness.. that really sounds racist!!! One would think you were calling her a welfare queen.. Are white people trying to get into black colleges? If so, I think they should be admitted. Then they wouldn't be black colleges, now would they?? And if they did admit White students, wouldn't that school be obligated to provide a "White Studies" program? A "white students" association? Wouldn't they be eligible for "minority student" grants and preferential treatment?? Why not just STOP THIS BS that permits reverse racism to exist and just think of people by one color.. Red.. The same color that EVERY HUMAN BEING shares, since it runs through all of our veins?? When people are given preferential treatment that is not based upon merit, then they will automatically ignite resentment amongst those who had to fight and scrape to achieve their positions within the "system". I don't think that Whites are better than blacks.. It's just that Whites have to compete against other whites in a dog eat dog society. But when a minority receives special preferential treatment, they fail to learn these skills and it undermines their competitiveness in making inroads. Sure there is going to be racial inequality.. People like to be around others who hold the same beliefs that they do. And just as you don't have any respect for people who don't hold your particular political views (and it's reciprocal), you would NATURALLY ACT TO DISCRIMINATE AGAINST THOSE WHO DON'T THINK LIKE YOU DO, regardless of their color. There's a VERY GOOD reason we're seeing more blacks leaving the Democratic party. And we're seeing many more blacks taking up "white sports" like golf and exceling. We're seeing more blacks becoming Masons and the Rotary. And I can personally tell you that while I was in Iraq, nearly 50% of the contractors I worked with were Black (so called "mercenaries, as you've referred to us). Our contract site supervisor (and later Program Manager) was black. And many of the non-blacks accused him of discriminating against the Whites by not assigning a proper "racial mix" to the choice administrative positions (equivalent to military S-1, S-3 and S-4). Each of these positions were filled by Blacks. And unfortunately, they were positioned there not based upon their competence and the military commander who was being supported eventually replace the all too critical S-4 because he was clearly imcompetent and replaced him with his White assistant who had actually been doing most of the work (inventory.. supplies.. accounting) himself so that the mission was accomplished. I would hear about this BS from my fellow contractors on a pretty regular basis, but FORTUNATELY I was insulated from the BS in-fighting amongst my fellow contractors. Gratefully, I was in a position where I could just focus on my job and not really be affected by the BS. And when someone complained about racial discrimination was always the same.. I don't care about the color of your skin.. I care about the capability of your mind and the color of the blood running through your veins. I just wish more people had acted in the same manner. The petty racial BS (on both sides) was one of the true disappointments of my experience in Iraq). Hawk
