Agreed.

Jimmy was very soft spoken and polite which made him seem so sincere and honest that it deflected critical examination of his inadequacies as President. Frankly, I always considered Carter sort of a dolt, and often wondered just how he graduated from the USNA.

It appears, judging from recently published excerpts of his behavior and appearance, that there are additional, superimposed, mental challenges that commonly accompany the aging process.

Spare us from his wisdom.

It would have been better if you had shut your trap, Trap Guy!

we have never fully recovered from that...

Trap, your statement does make you look silly, doesn't it?

Didn't you know that two Republican presidents (Reagan & GHW Bush) served a total of 12 years after Carter should have fixed things in the CIA? Did they? Or are you suggesting that those Repubs were so idiotic and inept? They were Repubs, mind you, and therefore are people who coulda/shoulda put things right any time, eh? What happened?

And now Repubs have been in charge since 2004 and almost everything is in a mess at home and abroad. Don't blame Carter! Put the blame squarely where it belongs --- on Bush and his Neocons (or New Con Men)!!! They certainly have you conned, big-time !
