Yes it does. If the hydrocarbons are derived from things that are carbon sinks, that goes a long way towards solving the problem. It is when you get the hydrocarbons from fossil sources that the problem arises.

Maybe so, but I was talking about economic and political problems. Much more efficient energy clients can help solve the global warming part. And that is doable as well.
