That's a pretty interesting article about the diesel racing car.. Didn't know they had gone that far..

As for ocean turbine generation, one has to ask why it hasn't been done before, if it's profitable??

I'm for market solutions to the energy crisis. And it appears that with oil prices the way they are now, it's going to make alternative energy more and more feasible, as well as profitable.

The potential for tidal energy generation here is incredible.

As a kid, I used to think about how incredibly powerful the totality of tidal flow is and how much energy is being simply allowed to dissipate. And what a shame it was that it wasn't being somehow used.

As an adult, I more or less forgot about these thoughts, but I am glad that minds are being focused on this unused source of clean energy. I suppose the technological issues are daunting. However, as Frank Zappa said, necessity is the mother of invention. vbg
