JCP, What does being tough on crime have to do with being gay friendly and pro-choice Nothing, except that both have become defining qualities of Giuliani. Only difference is that the latter qualities have been lauded in the media, even though it was never in Rudy's agenda to advance the cause of gay rights and abortion. I suspect that's the only way the left can accept a popular guy like Rudy. Giuliani is a "liberal" Nyawk Repugnican, compared to Frist or Allen. He won't survive your own parties primaries, and will be rejected by the base of your own party. You can only hope ... Tenchusatsu
