Well I'm glad your experiences haven't left you bitter Ichy.:) Again; I have to wonder what foundation you are using to make so many moral judgments?

"I don't want it imposed by law on me."

All laws are the imposition of moral principals Ich. What makes yours better?

Ahhhhh but I am not making a moral judgement when I say that I do not want other people religious beliefs enshrined in Canadian Law. I want the laws to protect us from criminal acts particularly acts of violence, (something they do a wretched job of in Canada) and to make sure there are roads and schools and freedom to practice the religion of your choice. I would like child molesters executed, but other than that sexual choices should be a private matter. I would like to see Marriage abolished as a legal institution, and a Civil partnership contract enacted. Marriage should become solely a religious ritual and matter and have no particular legal benefits. The Civil Relationship Contract should instead grant whatever legal benefits Marriage now confers.

I would like to see no religious schools financed by public taxes in Canada. I would like Churches to pay property tax, and Church offerings be tax deductible only in the amount the Church can prove went to charitable works, property tax and salaries should not be included. In other words Churches should be treated as any private club.

You will note those are mostly legal and not moral concerns.
