Redeployment means getting out of the way of the Iraqi civil war and hopefully defusing it. Remember a lot of those foreign fighters are in Iraq for one reason, to try and kill Americans. If we get out of the way maybe they will go home too, thereby leaving the Iraqi civil war as the main problem to settle, and can can best be done politically.

This means bringing half our troops home (and boy do they deserve a long break) and redeploying the rest out of sight out of mind, in places like Kurdistan, Kuwait, wherever. This would force the Iraqis to defend themselves and work out their own problems. Right now, the Iraqi military and police isn't daring to do much fighting. They'd rather have our troops do the tough bloody work, and we taxpayers to pay for it. Enough is enough. It just isn't worth it and it's not working at all.
