can anyone find a better comparison than that? The Spartans at Thermopylae..... The Israelis find themselves surrounded by enemies, all of their enemies wish them dead, and they have only their skill at arms and their weapons to protect them, but their enemies are beating them in simple reproduction and no matter what happens they can see that eventually they will be over run and killed. But they continue to fight, simply because there is nothing else to do.
