Some of my favorite people from a past career were Iranian and Lebanese. I truly hope we seize this moment and help bring down the terrible regimes of Hate that have taken over that region. (Fundamentalist) Just like radical elements of Christianity, crusaders of old, who advocate and justify purging the infidels and killing in the name of God, these thought patterns of intolerance must be defeated. The term "Infidels" has just become a convenient word that somehow makes murder a holy calling from God by categorizing any opposing view as the enemy in line for elimination. I was brought up to believe that there is a little good in everybody no matter how bad they are. Unfortunately, as I have grown older, that simple, naive, well-intentioned concept does not hold true. When I look at some of the pedophiles who viciously rape and murder little children and the hatred in the eyes of suicide militants, I fear the only resolution is for them to be prevented from exercising their free will. Because their hearts and thoughts are focused like a laser on Evil and a wake of victims is the future for their unbridled visions. I wish there was a magic pill to stop such actions and people, but unfortunately, physical restrain/confinement or execution are the crude methods at our disposal. But stopped, they must be!
