It's a terrible decision to mix up the food chain with the energy chain. As this environmental disaster happens, we are going to see the Christian extremists using terrorism to prop up the price of corn futures in the Mid West. For any that don't believe this ridiculous line of non serious thought, it might be a mistake to have all excess food capacity be used up by higher ethanol requirements for gasoline. In the event of Christian intolerance in the Farm Belt, it will be a disaster to see the Presbyterian farmers killing the Methodist farmers to incite fears of corn shortages. Wait til the Muslims have to figure out how many types of Christian sects of corn farmers are out there. It will drive them fucking nuts.

Oh well, I'm not a serious enought thinker to have any relevant thoughts. No fun of any kind on this thread. Thanks for being such a wanker today, Michael.

The Indy 500 went to (wood) alcohol powered cars in 1976. They'll be running Ethanol next year. They're turning laps at only 220 mph.

I think the amazing fact to me was that they were producing 650 horses at only 5,000 RPM. That's astonishing to me!!

History has shown that engineering developments in auto-racing eventually filter down to the domestic car markets.

And I think car enthusiasts, who desire responsiveness and performance, would see themselves far more willing to purchase a diesel..

As for me.. I don't care if I use gasoline, diesel, or ethanol.. I just want reliability, comfort, and power.
