Thank you. It seems those good ole days have passed and many will never have those great memories I had growing up unless they lived back in the 30' and 40's. Populations have soared in our area and children do not have any where near the freedom we had back then. Crimes against children and young people are too often front page news now and our world seems threatened also. These are scary times and families are fearful of what might happen in the future and can't help keeping their children close and worrying about something happening to them in their activities.

Our parents I'm sure worried over us as much, but didn't seem to restrict us as we had so much to do right at home and in our neighborhood. Hide N Seek, skating, bike riding, baseball and Scouts. We knew all our neighbors and their children by names and ages and everyone looked after the kids. Anyone misbehaving, their parents were called and punishment was administered.

Got to run, going out to my daughter's for dinner tonight and just might spend the night. It's a fairly long drive but looking forward to it.
