Saddam had almost no connection to any terrorism. The payments to Palestinian families you refer to was very much a johnny-come-lately PR stunt which only started after Bush was pressuring him and he was trying to rally other Arabs to his cause. The overwhelming majority of money to Palestinian terrorists comes from the rich Saudis, whom Bush supports 100%. In fact Bush supports Saudi Arabia more than he supports our own country, as proven by his pimping for the Dubai Ports deal.

That was not the topic of discussion. Saddam is in jail, but the bombs are still going off in Israel, Palestine and Lebanon. In other words Saddam being out of the loop didn't do shit for peace in the middle east. Saudis still paying welfare to families of bombers.
