As for still having a chance to buy Appl in the 40's (Neal)pre-split, is still likely. Keep an eye of the rocket fuel consumption for the next few months.

My charts indicate that the possibility of this occurring will be determined by Aug 7 at the latest. (expecting a full tanker or two to be delivered then ;-)

Don,

You said low 40's in your original post if I am remembering correctly. When you say that is likely, what exactly do you mean by that? Greater than a 50% chance of Apple going to the low 40's? In my mind, for that to happen, the whole economy would have to tank and Apple would have to significantly revise its guidance.

Neal

I guess the fact I got an Ipod Video last quarter put Apple over the top.

Did you secretly buy a Mac too? :^)

But Don, If you had just listened to me, you could be selling now with a tidy quick profit. I said in post #54471, "Good luck with that, Don. A better strategy though, would be to trigger your buy on the reversal or time entry ahead of the ER."

The reversal was fairly obvious on Monday. You had 3 days to make up your mind that anything in the 40's was either too far off for consideration, or would never happen.

THREE DAYS!

That's an open window big enough to toss a mutual fund through.

Don't take it hard, though Don. I know you really wanted that stock this time, but hey! ... You really made a bundle the last time you held AAPL even after deducting the Malox bill. (grin)
