First you need to learn to spell "Shah". The Shah Or Iran went way too far. He was a meglomaniac and a selfish egomaniac. He lived like a God while his people largely suffered. He took al the oil wealth for himself. His secret police were notoriously brutal. And he was sort of a jetset playboy who didn't go to the mosque. Put that all together and his getting overthrown by religious wackos was inevitable. And there was nothing Carter could have done to stop it. We have religious wackos in this country too. All the lamebrains who just supported Bush vetoing stem cell research. That even spit in the eye of Ronald Reagan. The GOP needs to find a way to win without siding with religious nuts. Our founding fathers knew religious nuts were dangerous which is why they protected us from them in the Constitution.
