If so, then first (after you establish the truthfullness of your claim --- about which you've shown nothing yet :-), we could get into chewing on the question of 'who is responsible for this federal funding'... since --- by the Constitution --- all funding bills must originate in the House of Representatives, then pass the Senate, and only then can they be signed into law by the President. Did the President VETO military funding bills or something, claim they were 'too high'? (Also, presumably at an early point, the Pentagon weighs in before Congress on it's desired level of funding, and it's requested allocation for those funds. If the Pentagon had no beef with allocations for 'spare parts' then I guess we have nothing to talk about....) Re: "sure to sound like a democrat" Lot of 'Dems' opposing big government and high taxes, are they? Lot of them standing up for individual liberties against an ever-more rapacious and intrusive Authoritarian federal government? 'Word for the day' for you: LIBERTARIAN.
