But I have bonds with several completely different regions, so I have a good abstract understanding of the basic human impulse for this attachment. I've been thinking of this lately as I see the Mideast slide into war again. I think if I lived there I'd be bailing out and looking for a new place to get attached to, rather than staying and putting up with all that crap.
