Ichy, there have been Israeli massacres of Arabs as well. How about this one for example: washingtonpost.com I'm not in any way minimizing or condoning massacres, terrorism, or the like. But from many sources we only seem to be fed one side of the story in the media here. The Muslim world is being fed a different side of the story. Both contain truths, both are sometimes distorted. But one can't just pick out some examples, demonize one side and stick his head in the side. The inconvenient truth is that Palestinians have had huge injustices against them and by minimizing them, ignoring them, and blindly allowing the power of pro-Israel lobbies to control our governments actions we are being parties to injustice. This is not only wrong, it is very stupid for our interests. With the United States, Canada is becoming a giant target for the rage of Muslims (who number what, 1.2 billion?) because we are letting Israel hide behind us, even use us as puppets through vehicles like the National Post who feed us only one side of the story and rally us to do what they want us to.

Ichy, The British were endorsing the emigration of European Jews to Palestine. These Jews shared no culture with the resident palestinians and there was fear of displacement..... The Mufti of Jerusalem played on that fear.. (a Nazi fan himself) to incite the trouble.. It was not as if one day they just woke up and decided to kill all the Jews... Part of the fault certainly lies with the British who like the French and other European nations have managed to leave behind a legacy of screwed up countries from their imperial days... If the French had never colonised Algeria... would there be so many Muslims in France today ? The British also controlled Iraq and managed affairs in the Middle East to promote easy access to Iraqi oil... Interestingly the Lebanese civil war was caused by a dissatisfaction of the Arabs with the arrangement for allocating seats which greatly favoured the declining Christian population.. regards Al
