Publix used to have free coffee here - they still have the free food samples 5 times a day - hehe - sams has the free samples too and then you got the free samples at the mall - I can still eat well but that means getting up too much and leaving the house - hehe. Starting to get too hot to do that in the day time - 105 degree weather ouch!

I was going to stay at the marriot marquis in atlanta again for dragoncon this year - one of the most unique architectural designs in the entire south east - a couple years ago I got the room for 100 a night - this year it is around 230 - looks like I will be camping in the van again. Thank goodness I can still stay at some walmarts free and don't have to pay a 200 a night parking fee. Really I don't know how a bunch of poor geeks are affording that other than going into credit card or heloc debt. Russ winter is a 20 year ex broker with millions and balks at 250 a night hotels - how does a poor computer geek that hasn't earned an income in over 5 years since the indian took his job?

I ran the nice hotels for the clearwater area - outside of don cesar you have the westin innisbrook and a few others - I just don't see how they are making 200-250 a night. The van by the river is free. These hotels have went way up over the past couple years - Bernanke must not be staying in the hotels I am pricing - his hedonics must substitute them with living in vans by the river - hehe.

In 2000 a turkey sandwich at the atlantis hotel in the bahamas cost 16 bucks - I wondered how people afforded it then.
