Israel has a very long way to go to catch up to South Africa. Perhaps some day it can. I don't see it happening anytime soon. So, let the misery continue!

To be fair, South Africa didn't have the theocratic problems of having a "land grant from God" and being "God's chosen people". Can Israel leave that behind it?

Elroy, But as long as Israel grants citizenship and all the rights that go along with it to Jews from Argentina, and simultaneously denies citizenship to a Muslim Palestinian refugee born and raised in the West Bank and descended from 20 generations of West Bank Muslims, the Arabs are not going to accept Israel. Would you if you were them?

Let's say I declare myself to be an evangelical Christian who wants to move to Iran, build a church, and preach the gospel. Think I'll have much luck getting Iran to grant me citizenship?

It's very hypocritical of the Arab world to accuse Israel of discrimination.
