re: I think that if the political and economic needs are patched up, then the real problems will only mount. It's better to not spend the time and treasury on work that will have to be mostly scrapped anyway. I disagree. It's a process that won't start without motivation. You wait for Global warming and it'll be over before we start. And I'm not 100% sure of the global warming thing anyway (that from someone in harms way near the gulf coast of Florida).
