See "The Fog Of War" and learn not only why the smearvets were 100% wrong, but why Nagasaki was such a needless crime. McNamara will clear a few things up for you, old myths we grew up believing which turned out to be total BS. Also see a documentary called "Why We Fight" about our military weapons industry and how it pressures our government into wars for profit. Like in Iraq. Cheney and Rumsfield are both part of the war profiteering heirarchy.
