Seems to me that the people we're talking about are not exactly part of the system, they're more like viruses or bugs. Legacy architecture? Whatever. The system is being upgraded and they don't belong. But then, as I've said before, I perceive these people as nothing but opportunistic thugs who can't produce anything of value, all they can do is break things, sometimes in a very spectacular fashion. I don't care what they think, any more than I care what a mugger in an alley thinks, or a Nigerian scam letter author thinks, or the Mafia thinks, except to the extent that comprehending them makes it easier to stop them.
