The stock was way oversold, in my opinion, due to fears that turned out to be groundless.

Yeah. There was a vague perception that the iPods have run their course and little understanding of the importance of the Intel/OSX transition. Many investors still see Macs as dying out. Apple as the "iPod" company selling periferals.

There is still little understanding of how important this transition is. Virtually none when it comes to the OSX/Linux synergy that is threatening Microsoft's huge domination of personal computers WORLDWIDE. On the corporate and investment side only developers and Unix heads understand how revolutionary the transition is. UNPRECEDENT. And amazingly successful.

We Mac users understand that. OSX IS amazing. It's an incredible achievement that is finally paying off.

Apple was more or less forced into it but really only a company like Apple could have pulled it off. It was a huge risk and there are very few CEOs with the kind of Moxie to take it to the LIMIT!

To me, it looks like the bear trend has broken, and we're back in bull mode with a vengeance.

I don't know if I would agree with this but certainly Apple jumping from a near 50 low on Monday to a near high of 62 today has more than a few people rethinking and researching Apple.

I tend to think Apple is still misunderstood and that the education that investors need to get comfortable to invest is still ongoing.

In other words, long term the stock is undervalued. Therefor it's a good investment. Shortly after everyone understands it it will no longer be undervalued. That will take several years IMHO. But as more an more people realize why UNIX, and particularly UNIX with the Apple UI, is so superior to Microsoft the stock will continue to trend up.
