Maybe, maybe not. But certainly the first thing is to move towards more efficiency, regardless of the fuel. The upcoming "plug in hybrids" (what a shitty name) will go about 60 miles with almost no fuel usage. My fuel would rot in the tank 48 weeks a year.

We are really talking about two different issues.
