OK Dave, lets say thats true.
I think we just got a resounding WHOOSH of demand for macs in the last 2 weeks. Maybe this is back to school, I don't know. This is Q4 sales now. Today Amazon is out of the 17" imac, one of the macbooks pros, and of course the 2 white macbooks. JR just sold their last white macbook. Everything is selling everywhere.

It would be one thing if the Macbooks sold last quarter just to fill in the channel and sell to "Mac loyalists" like Herb Greenberg trys to convince himself. Wrong in my opinion.

I am seeing about 50% more demand for the desktop imacs this month from June. You can see it on Amazon and Compusa.

So in general I expect Mac market share momentum to continue through this quarter- I think Munster is right this is the "breakout" quarter- and of course the Christmas quarter.

So I don't see this as a blip phenom, fwiw.
