Its pretty obvious to me that the Hezbollah are well trained, well dug in and much stronger then anyone thought with an adequate supply of ammunition. If I were Israel I would not consider a large scale invasion without a MASSIVE rolling artillery and aerial barrage destroying everything in the front for at least the first 50 miles or so. Otherwise Israel IMHO will absorb and unacceptable level of casualties. However, such a barrage will be murderous to many innocent (or so seemed) population and will likely draw world wide revulsion. So, Israel is in a tough spot. Personally, I dont think what Israel is doing now will result in any lasting damage to Hezbollah. jdn
