Orders are made to be cancelled, as with all previous tops.
But during previous tops (in particular prior to Y2K) global IC sales collapsed (ASP's).
PC unit shipments were up 11% (YoY) but the price war is taking its toll - CPU shipments must be at record level.
There is overcapacity in NAND (perhaps possible delays of iPods that will require twice the amount of NAND flash).
The price trend for DRAM speaks for itself - contract price up again.
It looks DRAM could be the most profitable segment within semis...remember last year ago LRCX was downgraded because exposure to memory

PE of 10 may be optimistic.
If I recall correctly single digit PE's but majority of SCE's can make money even during downturn.
