The French are serving effectively in Afghanistan for us now, relieving US troops while Bush sends them all to get stuck and knocked off in the quagmire of Iraq. WHy didn't Bush want to finish the job in Afghanistan? Well, the French stepped up to the plate anyway. And the French were smart not to have anything to do with Bush's insane Iraq occupation. Bush still has no plan for what to do there. No sane plan at all. Just more of the same chaos.
