What would happen if the israelis said to hizbola and hamas, come on guys lets both cut this out, sign a treaty and have a drink together?

I'm sure the Israelis have put such an offer on the table.

The problem is that both Hamas and Hizbullah are organizations that have sworn to destroy Israel.

They can't make peace by themselves, yet this CONTINUES to be what the world is asking of them.

For Israel "Shock and Awe" will work about as well as it did for the U.S. in Iraq...None of these conflicts will EVER be solved with overwhelming military superiority...The more innocent Lebanese citizens that are killed by Israeli attacks the more enemies they will have...You don't bomb a country back to the stone age (and destroy all their infrastructure) because they kidnapped a few of your soldiers...Talk about stupid...I don't support Hezbollah's actions but there are more intelligent ways for the U.S. and Israel to deal with them.
