They tell people to leave so they can pulverize what remains of Southern Lebanon from the security of their high tech tanks and aircraft. How brave of them to give notice of this, seeing as they would not doubt be in such grave danger.

More than 500,000 people displaced, and I suppose Israel might just not let them back into what remains of their homes and cities, much like they did when they forced many Palestinians to become refugees. What's next -- Jewish settlers moving in? And in a while they will be killing more Arabs to protect them? Where are all these 500,000 people going to go? Maybe you have a few spare rooms at your house, seeing as you seem to be so in favour of causing the condition they're in.

By the way, terrorists are probably already on a recruiting drive with 500,000 irate people who've seen innocent relatives killed and their lives destroyed, with the US and their neo-con brainwashed public all for it. What a wonderful and safe world Israel is making for us all. What incredible restraint -- they could just slaughter all the Arabs, but they merely kill a few hundred and destroy their cities.

I should relate a story about a kid in my neighbourhood when I was growing up. His father was a taxidermist, and the whole family loved animals -- to kill and torture animals that is. They were paid to shoot stray cats at the city landfill and they loved it. Well, these people had cats for pets. They would do what amounted to torture to them all the time. After a while, this would have a predictable effect and they they would say, "Ah shucks, our cat has gone crazy. Now we are going to have to shoot it." Which they did, with a certain amount of satisfaction.

It's not fair to use this allegory with cats compared to human beings, but the way the Israels treat Arabs amounts to the same thing. They drive them crazy with rage through their arrogance and injustice, and then when someone does a terrorist act, they respond with ten times the force appropriate, punishing innocent people and sowing the seeds for more terrorism. History didn't have to be like that, and things just keep getting worse and worse. The hate is boiling over and the Israelis are militarily invincible, so inevitably terrorists are going to look for softer targets. I can't imagine a softer target than Canada. And Mr. Harper taking the position he has is moving us way up the list for the terrorists, in a country that has let in huge number of immigrants from radical places like Pakistan and Somalia over the last twenty years. Those crazy youths on terrorist charges are going to multiply and get less and less crazy and more and more common the more unjust our positions become. We Canadians are a bunch of idiots -- first to let in so many people from radical troubled places, and second to support unjust positions like OK-ing Israel's round two destruction of Lebanon to stir people up, which we are pretty much helpless to defend against if they are anything more than idiotic rank amateurs at terrorism.
