Oh my god. OSX is just getting started. It's in it's infantcy. I think it's going to do great things that Windows just won't be able to mimic.

Switching over to Windows now is like switching from a Toyota to a Ford or worse. Yeow... pain coming.

Windows gets worse every iterations. Something like 50% of businesses haven't replaced their W2K yet for good reason. Microsoft can only sell new systems on new computers to consumers who are FORCED to upgrade. They are really twisting arms now to get people to upgrade. Few people want or need Vista.

Microsoft's idea of an upgrade feature is a program that tells you if you are running pirated software. Yeah right. Microsoft is not about the future it's about squeezing the last drops out of their unearned head start.

Just that one feature where you have to beg them to upgrade your computer is enough for me.

Dave,

Let us say your argument is correct and there is an equal percentage of mac and windows users that are ready to switch(which I don't agree with-the surveys that I have looked at over the past several months really point to a fair number of windows people looking to switch-I haven't seen anything like that on the mac side). Let us say it is 10% just for ease of calculations. If windows has 90% of the market and the mac has 5%-even though the percentage of switchers are the same-I would rather be on the mac side of the business than on the windows side. The windows side would pick up a half a percent from the mac side. But the mac side would pick up 9% from the windows side.
