"Saar-5 class corvette" I don't care if it had been a Saar-super duper 25 class corvette.

We've known since the Falklands War that surface naval craft are obsolete.

They're great for projecting power against a country that doesn't have air or missile technology, like Iraq in Gulf I & II, but against a sophisticated enemy like China, Russia or even Iran maybe?? it would leave our naval guys out there like sitting ducks.

SO...Israel's ship getting hit says more about the vulnerabilities of surface navies than the readiness of Israeli troops.

The killing and kidnapping of Israeli ground troops DOES say something about their military. These Hezbollah guys aren't that sophisticated and their successes make you wonder if the Israelis are as sharp as they used to be.
