We have miliatary bases all over the place - Qatar, Kuwait, Turkey, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti, Diego Gaqria, and Egypt. Of course, we now have troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Basically, we have bases in every single country except for Iran and Syria. I assume we don't have any bases in Lebanon either.

Glenn Beck asked who would be our allies in WW3. He missed the point, according to my interpretation. WW3 will be fought as a terrorist expansion of Islam into areas like Somalia as people figure and other third world areas that are in economic shambles. It won't be an inter-governmental war like Iran vs. the US. I think it will be a battle of influence, much more like the Cold War period from 1945 to 1990 between the commies and the capitalists.

In terms of prevention, it will be imperative to have governments like Saudi Arabia as our primary Ally even though some of their salafi jihadis go out and recruit for global jihad.
