Intel pulls in their schedules, AMD pushes their's out.

2 Companies going in different directions.

That's for sure. Is this going to be like the dual core Prescott? I think it sank without a trace. Divers are still looking for it.

And AMD continues to gain server share Q after Q after Q.

26% QoQ from Q1 to Q2 with a comment of "well on our way to reach 30% share by end of year"? Wow!

You may also let IBM and Dell know about all these schedule pullin's. For some reason they are going to expand/intro new Opteron servers. For the mainstream line for IBM and 1st time ever for Dell.

IBM = International Business Machines = #1 server supplier in the world => Huge share gain for AMD in servers once they start to offer "mainstream" servers with Opteron in them.

We are glad that you are making money on AMD, because you must be loosing your shirt on Intel. Yes, 2 companies going in different directions like you said.

Yes, according to this post quad core, at least the demo, has slipped.

Dirk Meyer addressed this in the cc when specifically asked whether or not Quad Core had slipped.

Dirk replied that the demo of QC on K8L was an "amplification" of earlier statements. I did not get the impression that this had anything to do with the prospects of a quad core release on the F stepping.

Does anyone have any info to clarify???
