Haven't heard anything for a couple of days. They are still on a list to evacuate. Hopefully they will be out before the weekend is over.

What's amazing is that only 8,000 of the 25,000 Americans have chosen to be evacuated. This is likely to create a major problem if this military action spreads farther into the country. My biggest fear is that Americans will be sought out for kidnapping as a deperate move on the part of Hizbullah to force the US to back a cease-fire.

But I think the Israelis are going to limit their military incursions to the Litani river, according to recent reports.

But if the Lebanese Army, or the Syrians try and get involved, it could certainly escalate to a wider war.

The Israelis have pretty much cut the roads out of Lebanon that lead to Syria, so it would be difficult for Assad to intervene with any forces of consequence, IMO, without going through the northern part of Lebanon.
