Or radical Christianity. You can see on this thread even people who claim to be Christians and others I presume are Jews who couldn't care less if entire countries are bombed, ravaged and destroyed and large numbers of innocent cilivians killed -- just as long as they are Arabs or Muslims. Is this not radical? Are you saying such people, on many levels, are even morally superior to radical Muslims? By the way, at one point, it was fashionable and allowable to demonize whole races or religions. Blacks, Jews... they were discriminated against, treated poorly, then they got politically organized. Now for the most part, almost no one would accept that anyone say anything negative or make negative generalizations about them -- there is a general acceptance that it is wrong. However, if one looks at this board, it seems totally acceptable to demonize Muslims or Arabs. Some of what you say might be true, but in a general sense such generalizations are wrong. Guess what. Like blacks and Jews who realized they needed to protect themselves, you are going to see all Muslims become more politically organized as a result of the way they are being viewed and treated, and some of them will become more radical, as happened with race riots in the US. You are not going to change history and if you think that destroying countries or even committing genocide against more radical elements of the Muslim world is going to improve the world, I think you are wrong. Attacking the Muslim world in the pretense of making the world safe is only going to set the world on fire. Some people in the White House have been doing a good job of that, thanks to the people they are listening too. I'm not saying this because of any affiliation or bias to any race or religion. Al has met me in person -- he can verify that I am as whitebread blue-eyed Canadian as they come. And while I think it is Canadians' rights to decide what number and what criteria of immigrants they accept and do so for the benefit of the country, Canadians in general are not the kind to accept aggression against innocent civilians, stirring up of hatred, or buy into the paranoia and racist propoganda that is being spread through some media outlets and neo-con web blogs.
