To be fair, I'll also point out this part of the article as well. "Democracy demands that the religiously motivated translate their concerns into universal, rather than religion-specific, values. It requires that their proposals be subject to argument, and amenable to reason." Often faith is confused with the antithesis of this argument. I've never believed in a blind faith.
