But you still don't understand that this is exactly what Hezbollah hoped for. This is the reaction they needed to justify their presence in Lebanon. Look at the World Trade Center, look at the number of civilians they murdered to make a point. Hezbollah wanted massive body counts, they needed massive destruction, Hezbollah planned the wanton slaughter of the Lebanese civilian population to further their own political ends. Hezbollah needed to be needed to avoid being driven from Lebanon. Israel has given them that. The best thing Israel can do now is to announce an immediate ceasefire. The next is to announce that if the kidnapped soldiers are not turned over to the government of Lebanon or Gaza in 24 hours for return to Israel, Hezbollah Prisoners and the Hamas prisoners will be executed on television broadcast to Arab countries a few each day until the soldiers are returned. They should announce that for every missile one prisoner will be executed from the moment of the ceasefire. They should stop any aggression towards Lebanon. They should then ask for a combined force of French, Italian, and Spanish armed forces as an armed police force to patrol the Blue line. A new policy that the mosque of anyone who is a suicide bomber inside Israel will be destroyed. This should be publicized by flyers and leaflets in Gaza. Then they should announce a Million dollar US Bounty on the head of Hezbollah.
