I see that most of the pro-war folks are no longer even trying to defend their stupid occupation of Iraq. Things have gotten so horrible that even they realize they will look stupid if they tried to defend it anymore...

The real story is not Lebanon but Iraq. It's fallen apart.
I don't think we're going to see any progress over there anymore unless the country is cross-sectioned and divided, but then they'll be arguing over the oil money. Sunnis don't have an oilfields so they'll be ready to kill for a piece of the pie, a pie which is losing 10-30% to theft under the un-watchful eyes of Chalabi, Cheney and Halliburton.
