re: Not surprising at all. AMD confirmed K8L is far down the road and have no hope of matching or beating Intel in overall performance except in >2S servers for at least a year.

we can argue about performance and price cuts and the value of amd 65nm process etc until.... One thing should not be forgotten is that the price is not about performance of the products but about earnings. It is unclear at all that Intel can match (let alone beat) AMD's growth rate and earnings over any horizon especially if you consider increasing volume and dell/ibm bit.

re: will be under $20 in the next

I doubt that but if you are right then my spreads should do great .....

eracer, AMD confirmed K8L is far down the road and have no hope of matching or beating Intel in overall performance except in >2S servers for at least a year.

The product pipeline at AMD is extremely worrisome, across the board. I wonder what went wrong with their product development. The street doesn´t seem to have fully realized what´s happening.
