'The upper class is getting richer while the middle class is sinking, that is why more discretionary spending power will go to the top 10% and they will be the drivers of consumer spending going forward.' What happens to that wealth in a stock market or bond market downturn which is where most of their wealth is hidden? Stagflation and much higher rates do a lot of damage to asset values.

If you want more personal experience - let me just say - that as sick as some people think this is - www.realdoll.com - I know a guy that is pimping these dolls out for 20 an hour because the real thing was breaking the bank at 350. You throw the doll in a hot tub and in the dark it feels like you are banging cindy crawford. He said the rich PIG MEN aren't banging the hedonic hooker yet - so I guess corzine and paulsen still getting the real stuff - but the truckers, many blue collar workers, and some off the lower end white collars are - they have had to take bernankes hedonics and substitute.
