Being in charge doesn't change what the Geneva convention says. Stevens has no power to do that. He has the power to act as if it said something it didn't and to attempt to impose that idea on the US, but that isn't the same thing.

Earlier on this thread I said "Reality doesn't change to fit Bush's definitions and statements". That also applies to Stevens.
