I also don't think you'll find any viable candidate who shares your mischaracterization of religion. Even Jesse Ventura had to back away from his comments about religion as a crutch.

People have used religion as a "crutch" forever. It's a lot less dangerous than other "crutches". What do you want, "perfect people"?

Whatever... Obama isn't running in '08. He's not ready. And I can't believe he voted against a timetable to withdraw from Iraq. That may be a lifetime deal killer for me.

But, even as an agnostic, I can recognize that religion isn't all bad. What do you want, pure atheist Dem candidates?
