Kerry isn't in anyone's pocket. Nobody's. I think your statement is dishonest. It is Bushies who are actively in the pockets of big business interests, and proud of it. Some democrats may be guilty as well, but for the most part, they're not.

For instance, the Hollywood donors, and they can be very generous, ask for nothing in return except to hob nob with politicians and discuss how to make this a better world. But the Enrons and Exxons of the world expect many billions in payback for their contributions, and those go almost exclusively to rightwing Republicans.

Remember that in 2000, Nader put Bush in power. Byt telling a big fat lie, that there was little or no difference between Bush and Gore. Nothing could have been farther from the truth as we now see clearly. The DEm party may not be perfect from a leftist standpoint, but is it lightyears ahead of the GOP in terms of progressive values.
