This is simplistic and ignores the real objectives of the Israeli fighting force.


No what's simplistic is looking at the casualty totals and then assigning blame to the side that has the lower number.

Israel resorted to indiscriminate destruction

If Israel was really trying for indiscriminate destruction the number of Lebanese being killed would be thousands of times higher.

Furthermore, Israel, by deliberate destruction of Lebanese infrastructure and Lebanese lives

Israel wasn't deliberately killing any Lebanese it can. As for infrastructure most of that destruction was roads and bridges that could have been used by Hezbollah.
