I don't have the data to back up my mouth, but I do know that inner cities are problematic and no doubt there are regional differences dealing with poverty.

True... mostly it's a 'rural vs. urban' distinction though, not a Rep. vs. Dem. thing.

Rural States, as a general rule, receive FAR more federal funding back from the government then they pay in in taxes....
