"$750K FDIC Insured at Countrywide

100k becomes a zero or effectively a zero.."

"Jane Smith Individual Account $100,000
Jane and John Smith Joint Account (50%) $90,000
Jane and Joan Smith Joint Account $10,000
Jane Smith Testamentary Account $300,000
Jane Smith IRA CD Account $250,000
Jane Smith Total FDIC Coverage at ABC Bank $750,000 "

Hmm.. no need for a IRA CD account, Testamentary account, or joint account. I'll stick with more than one bank.

"If you come to my orange grove with a shiny metal dying of thirst and starvation and say give me an orange shades and I will give you some shiny metal - why not wait a few hours - let you perish"

Well how kind of you. As I said I think the possibility of being forced to leave the US is rather low. Around 1% or less. But I'd rather have money that people accept than something that has written on it "backed by the full faith of the US government" When said government has ceased to exist. Intelligence, contacts, and money. What would you do..? I have relatives and friends in the countries I mentioned earlier. I guess I would be putting them to the test.

"Would those roaming death squads had let you live if you had given them some shiny metal?"

Oh no.. I would seek out a different metal. I don't negotiate with thugs.
